I am guitarist based out of Northwestern PA. I like to throw down hot fire. I picked up my first guitar at age 16 and haven’t put it down since.Eric Brewer While still in high school, I took college courses in music at a local university and played in their classical ensemble. I also took private instruction on the side from local guitar master, Mike Ohm, who shared a wealth of information with me. After finishing high school, I was able to enter Pittsburgh’s Duquesne University School of Music with college credits and a nice scholarship already in hand. After hanging around Pittsburgh for a few years, I returned to my hometown to forge on from here. I’m an avid songwriter as well as performer and guitar teacher. Aside from my band Eric Brewer & Friends, I’ve played with local Funk/Rock/Jazz/Jam/and whatever else you want to call it band, Spooner, acoustic singer/ songwriter Claire Stuczynski, jazz bassist Steve Trohoske, local cover band Shutdown Corner, frequent guest spots with Ron Yarosz and the Vehicle, heavy metal band Dirty Looks, and even a little country with The Kellie Lynne Band. I am also involved with several other special projects such as the Rock House Foundation All Star Band, and the Rock Erie Music Awards House Band. Currently, the EB&F line up includes myself, Charlie Meyer -Keyboards & trumpet, Joel Polacci on drums, Vince Caccamo on bass, Erie’s best saxmaster, Joe Cieslak and guest vocalist Brad Walker.I also just had the honor of competing in Guitar Player Magazine’s Guitar Superstar 08 in San Francisco, CA. While I didn’t place in the top 3 for the “big” prizes, I very much consider myself (and ALL of the contestants!) a “winner” just by being there. I still received a large prize package and a free trip to CA. Meeting some of my all time guitar heroes was the thrill of a lifetime! Thanks to Guitar Player, and especially editor, Michael Molenda, who made all of us feel like rock stars!

I’m always down for a jam, studio session work and writing new tunes. I enjoy all types of music from rock to funk, jam, jazz, acoustic and country. If you like the music, drop me a message. I’d love to hear from you. Also, please view my site at www.myspace.com/ericbrewerandfriends
