I am just writing to thank you so much for the help you have given me. I have been a nurses aide for 45 years, my dad always said, “If you want something in life you have to work for it,” and he also said “keep working to keep in good health.” My dad taught me a lot. I became a nurses aide because I love taking care of people. I always believed some people in nursing homes are lonely, they just need someone to talk to them and some are angry because family put them in there, so who else are they going to be mad at but those who are taking care of them. I really believe in life you have to be a compassionate and caring person in any job you do.

When I was diagnosed with cancer it shook me up, but not my faith. I learned so much, people who are kind and compassionate as you and other organizations like yours, you don’t know how much you have helped me. I am so use to working and because the cancer spread to the bones, my doctors worry about fractures.

But I do believe there is something I can do in the world to help. I have through domestic violence and survived. God has always been there through my days where I should of not been here. I believe I can still do something in life. I’m just writing to tell you guys, you are my angels. Happy 4th of July.

Thank you for everything,
Debbie Chace
