When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was numb. I’m 37 years old, a full time employee and a mom to 4 young children. The next month was a whirlwind of appointments and tests. Chemo quickly started while we nailed down schedules for our kids at school/daycare. Life stopped in a way for me but still had to continue with some sort of normalcy for our family. Due to being out of work, our income became limited. Add to the mix my husband taking time off to be at my appointments and our income drastically decreased, all the while the bills still came in.

Our mortgage is our highest expense each month. When I received the call from StringsforaCURE the night before Christmas, notifying us of the grant, I instantly broke down into tears. Just knowing our mortgage was taken care of for 2 months, along with 1 car payment, meant so much to my family. I felt like we could just breathe easier for some time.

We’re forever grateful for the help the StringsforaCURE Foundation provided myself and my family.

Thank you for everything you do!
